Travel to Munich

Hello from Munich, Germany.

Today was filled with mostly travel. It was a 7 hour bus ride from Berlin to Munich. We were fortunate enough to watch some movies on the bus ride (in English :). It was interesting to finally travel on the famous autobahn that many people talk about. We weren't really able to drive very fast since we were in a huge bus. We watched a movie on Martin Luther during the reformation period in Wittenberg. The Other movie we watched was about the Munich Terrorist attack. This movie was based off the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich. Palenstine radicals held Israeli Olympic Athletes hostage to free some of there most prominent political activists that Israel was holding captive. On the bus ride we saw a town that was known for growing hops. It was facinating to see the land cover with these plants that require alot of structure for the growing process.

Once we reached Munich we went out to a local restraunt that or guide, Claudia brought us to. This has turned out to be the best meal so far. On the way we walk through the town square and saw some striking structures such as the Old Town Hall and the Glockenspiel. The art work put into the building were like no other we have seen so far. From a first glance this town feels much older than Berlin since it didn't have to be rebuilt after WWII. We are really looking forward to the Haufbrauhaus tomorrow night as well as the Olympic stadium and other structures.
