Welcome to the Olympic Quest 2010 blog

We are 38 students and 2 professors from Gustavus Adolphus College on a European Quest of the Olympics. Here is a description of our course: Olympic Quest will investigate the history of the modern Olympic games through examination of the cultural, philosophical, societal, and athletic impact the games have had on the development of Western civilization. Beginning in the homeland of the most controversial modern games, Olympic Quest traces the path of the modern games through Germany, France, and Spain. Students will have the opportunity to interact with the origins of the ancient and modern Olympic games by participating, attending, and experientially reflecting on engagement within the various venues.

    It is wonderful to see you guys learning and sharing memories. I apologize if this gets posted on the web-site but we are trying to touch base with Emily and Christian. We are concerned about his bruises and injuries from the Alps. This is amazing and blessed excursion and we appreciate the blog so much. Stay safe and enjoy every new experience.     Hello from Minnesota. Everyone it is amazing to see what you are learning. The blog is a great avenue to share what you are experiencing. I apologize if this gets posted on the actual blog but we need to touch base with Christian and Emily. We heard that he had a hard time on the alps and we just want to make sure he is okay. I am learning this whole new world of communicating and so I hope that this message will get to them. God bless as you guys learn how wonderful this world is.
